The following positions are available:
Peer Tutor (7 positions)
Global Ambassador (6 positions) (Must be an international student)
Peer Advisor (5 positions)
Benefits:
Summer Student Leaders (SSLs) will receive a $2,750 stipend, as well as meals and housing. Housing will be provided through the start of new academic year for students living in on-campus Barnard housing
Expectations
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in an academic environment
Abide by Barnard College’s Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct
Enforce compliance with the guidelines and regulations of the program, the College, and the residence halls
Inform Access Barnard professional team of concerns regarding students’ performance or behavior
Serve as a role model to the students in the program at all times during the course of the program, even while off campus
Work in collaboration with the entire staff to promote community, belonging, and academic and social success
Comfortable supporting students from diverse backgrounds and experiences
Genuine interest in supporting students’ transition from high school to college
Encouraging and positive attitude
Conditions:
Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with Barnard College at time of application and at time of employment
Summer Student Leaders are expected to reside in campus housing from Monday, July 29th – Sunday, September 1st and work an average of 35 hours/week
Your Summer Student Leader position with Access Barnard is your only role and commitment during the duration of the program (inclusive of training)
