Black @ Barnard Focus Groups

2025 celebrates 100 years of Black students at Barnard with the matriculation of Zora Neale Hurston in 1925. The Office of DEI is organizing focus groups to hear from you on exactly what it means to be a Black student at Barnard. Our intention is to gain understanding of existing avenues of support, how they can be improved, and what needs you may have that are not being met. We would like to learn what you are hoping to experience during the ZNH centennial celebrations from 2025-2028, and what you want to take away from them. Finally, we would love your insight into what you believe is the future of the Black student experience at Barnard.

If you are interested in being a part of this process, please register here. Additionally, we ask that you complete this When2Meet to assist us with scheduling focus groups in September and October. Participants will receive a $15 gift card from a local Black-owned business.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email dei@barnard.edu
